Anthony Davis sustained a "non-displaced fracture" in his left hand, during the first half of tonight's game against the Knicks. No timetable for his return.

Pacers get a big road win over the Clippers, to extend their league-best record to 16-1. Interestingly enough, it was their first win over a team over .500.

Trailblazers by three over the gd lakers at the half, after blowing a huge first quarter lead.

Is this what it's come to? Rooting for the Blazers? :rolleyes:

You can actually just root against the Lakers, without naming their opponent...it works for me, especially when there's a Texas team involved or a Miami team or any of the other myriad of teams I currently dislike. (The number of teams on my do-not-like list has gotten significantly higher, BTW, and I'm not exactly sure why...)

You have to balance your unabashed positiveness for anything Kings with some negativeness or your psyche will be out of sync with the universe. o_O

I root for the Kings against anyone, and I'll root for anyone against the Lakers. For me, Dallas is next to last -- I'll only root for them against the Lakers, and Golden State is second -- I only root against them when they're playing the Kings. So I have a hierarchy of most of the teams. It's somewhat fluid depending on changes in personnel -- I'm more interested in teams with former Kings, for example. And there are a few teams, like Charlotte and Toronto, for which I have no feelings either way.

and they really shouldn't have let it get that close. fourth quarter was fairly annoying, after a reassuring third that had David West drinking all of Griffin's milkshake, Indy's got Roy Hibbert to thank for this one.

the strong-ish teams they've been beating, Chicago when Rose was healthy, the Grizzlies and the Wolves were all either in a bit of a funk at the time or at one game over .500. they've also been primarily playing EC teams. December will be their real test with games against POR, SAS, OKC (those are all this week, btw :eek:) and MIA coming up.

Things tend to balance out schedule wise, but either way, they are very good.

Switched over to SportSouth in time to see Duncan hit the game winner over Atlanta. It seems the rumors of his demise may have been exaggerated.

There's something amusing to me about the notion of Tim Duncan being acknowledged as the oldest player in NBA history to have a 20/20 game, when he's more than a year younger than me.

Indy could've really used Lance Stephenson last night, too bad he didn't show up. impressive stuff by the Blazers, though, and even more impressive stuff by Paul George, the third best forward in the league.

Can someone please explain how Cleveland is as bad as they are? They appear to have a ton of talent, yet their record sucks. What gives?

I don't think they're that talented. They wasted a few years of high draft picks - Irving is really the only one they got right. They have Irving and some decent young talent, but none that will ever be good enough to be a second option.

I'll also add that they drafted (and signed in free agency) non-complementary pieces. Tristan Thompson wasn't a bad pick, but he's a rebounding energy guy when the Cavs really needed a scoring threat in the post and to run Pick and Roll sets with Kyrie. Then they went out and drafted Waiters who is a ball-dominant slashing wing to go who takes the ball away from their much better ball-dominant slashing point guard? Anthony Bennett was a headscratcher as well. Maybe he can be a pick and pop 4, but he is undersized for the position. Jarrett Jack takes the ball out of Kyrie's hands. Bynum is a giant question mark, and their SF position is as bad as the Kings.

The Blazers didn't dominate the Kings for no reason. They are for real.

DANVILLE, Ill. -- Former NBA player Keon Clark says he's trying to turn his life around after landing in jail on new weapon, drug and traffic-related charges.

The Danville native has been in the Vermilion County Jail since Aug. 4, where he's being held on $100,000 bond. A hearing is scheduled Wednesday on a possible plea deal, which Clark said he still hasn't accepted...

good grief, those Nets are a disaster. not even keeping their own pick. instead, Atlanta might get both home court advantage in the East AND a high lottery pick. sheesh.

The Bucks might now allow us to have the worst record, even with a much easier Eastern Conference schedule... That team looks built specifically for the tank, which it might be.. When OJ Mayo is literally the best player in the rotation, you are TERRIBLE
