Okay, since it appears to be true, I'm gonna start off by saying I will miss Mbah a Moute. I loved what he brought to the team and I loved his energy...

I wish him the best of luck with the Wolves. Somehow I think he and Martin will work well together.

If this goes through, that's great news. He's a young gun as a 3 or stretch 4, and much more upside than Luc.

With Williams, PPat & Cousins, all Vasquez will have to do it find the open man for the basket.

Williams is a bust who MIGHT, just MIGHT be able to turn it around and become a valuable role player for us.
Luc was a valuable role player for us.

Well done PDA?

I'd kinda hoped this would be the traditional farewell thread... I liked that when Luc found out he was gonna be a King, he actually seemed happy about it. Would have been nice to be able to keep him around for his enthusiasm and effort. But time marches on.

Luc seemed to be one of the few guys in the early season to understand his role and play it well. But that probably makes more difference to a good team than to the Kings in their current state. The Kings aren't talented enough to play 4 on 5 on offense, which is the case with Luc (and also Salmons, often as not). If you're going to hit a home run, you've got to take some big swings. Not a huge Williams fan, but sometimes it takes a couple of years for guys to get it. As someone already mentioned, we know what Luc is, and although he's more accomplished than Williams, he has nowhere near the upside. Best of luck, Luc.

Best of luck, Luc! I was happy when we traded for you and I enjoyed watching your defense. Best of luck in Minnesota! Enjoy your reunion with Love and work hard in that run at the playoffs!

I guess all that talk about changing the culture was so much lip service.

Fair winds and following seas, Mbah a Moute; you were appreciated, and will be missed (by some). But, at least we're getting back a player whom Kings Fans can more easily shorten his name into some asinine nickname or abbreviation. Lord knows how important that is around here...

I liked that we acquired Williams, but man Thornton, Hayes, and Salmons are still here. That is just disappointing. We will now see what the coaching staff can do with this young fellow. He is still young and has plenty of time to get better, and time is something we have plenty of since we aren't exactly fighting for a playoff spot.

The Kings need talent. Role players come and go.

My main problem with the FO is that I'm not sure I believe what they say. They want to change the culture so they get rid of a guy who busts his ass for a guy who seems to have some major problems adjusting to the NBA. We already have enough of those. The only thing I believe is that we shouldn't count on a lot of wins this first season. They got that right. Otherwise, this absolute unwillingness to sign defensive players or keep them puzzles me immensely. Tyreke was too expensive and Douglass and Aldrich probably weren't given a call. That's three guys who can play defense.

I can't be happy happy joy joy unless our goal this year is to lose.

when there were rumors floating that we were interested in Williams...Luc was not who I envisioned losing.

Fun while it lasted. Fare thee well Luc. Say hi to Adelman for me...tell him he is missed.

I think that's how most of us feel. Unfortunately, the apparent trade value of the players we would enivision losing is somewhere close to bellybutton lint and toe jam.

Huh. Well, if you're trading for unproven youth, then this accomplished that goal. If you're looking to improve the culture of the team, not sure. I'll give it a shot.

How about this point of view? If you're a role player on the Kings, play your heart out and we'll try to move you to a team with a shot at playing in May or even June. ;)

Does anyone else think that there is another move coming? I think that one of our bigs (ppat, jt, or Hayes) is going with MT somewhere. PDA is know for thinking ahead. Why gain a big if your not Going to turn it around with the DNP-CD-MT and one of our bigs for something of use?

I keep going back and forth with how I feel about this trade. But I do know that I'll miss Mbah a Moute a lot. His style and his attitude are part of what this team needs and I hope he finds success with Adelman in Minnesota.

Thanks Luc, we'll miss you.
