Young Legs = New & Refreshing Game

I like the attitude and the excitement our young players are playing with .... add Mobley to the mix and our veteran leadership ... and we've got ourselves a basketball team with a whole new outlook on the rest of the season.

I actually see our veterans feeding off the energy Songaila/Evans/Barnes/Martin and House are injecting into their game.

I certainly hope Mo-Evans (high-five) is okay. What a hard-fall he took.

Two consecutive GREAT TEAM WINS !!!

Maybe this change (DC trade) is just what the doctor ordered and will continue to empower Peja and the rest to STEP UP and FIGHT!!! Not literally fight, but...you know, FIGHT.

:D

Were the guys a little lax when Doug was on the floor because Doug could be counted on each and every night to bring defense and play-making ability? Were they inadvertantly relying too much on one guy to do most of the dirty work? Could it be that Petrie is more of a genius than we even give him credit for?

I really liked watching everyone sharing PG responsibilities, and I see a lot of promise in Peja's attitude -- losing Doug could have been the final straw for him, but last night's game proved that he intends to step up, and with confidence. Same thing with Brad and Web, looks like this move Petrie made could mean something more to King's than just more youth and offense, and I like it!

Something Had to Change ....

We still don't know what kinda of team we've got.

We still haven't played with a full roster (and that'll take a few weeks).

Mobley, House and Bradley ... starter, bench and bench respectively ... not yet known what they truly bring to the King's.

Now Mo-Evans is out (don't know how long).

Then we gotta see how we match-up against NBA CONTENDERS.

We still have a few UNKNOWNS ... but, I'm totally OPTIMISTIC about our King's future (alot better then where I was 3 games ago).

Al I'm with you the new blood is a much needed transfusion... the team was alive, tought and focused last night... one of the most exciting games I have seen in a while.

To be anal-retentive, we haven't seen much of the new blood yet, 'cept for House...

but yeah, they are all shaken up and moving great now, I hope it keeps up :)

'Bout Time ...

I've actually watched these past 2 games with a totally different attitude.

Less negativity, yelling and frustration (wife thought something was wrong with me cause the noise coming from me, during the game was not the same).

More smiles on my face, staying glued to the TV, better conversation during the game ... it's all good !!!

I hope this keeps up ... we'll have our hard/difficult times, but I definitely have a changed outlook on our King's season.

I thought that barnes, Martin, and Evans are really, really good. They are energitic, aggresive and are intelligant to the game of basketball. And people said we dont have depth in our bench......................

Best of Two Worlds ...

We've got our veteran leadership at ALL positions and we've got our desperately needed athleticism and "above the rim play".

We're so used to seeing it in other teams ... it's really gratifying to see it finally happening here in Sac-Town.

Barnes played PG fine ... give House a chance ... he'll come thru.

Our bench is being PLACED IN A POSITION TO STEP-UP & PLAYand yet they still need to mature and gain experience ... all this while still learning Adelman's & Staff style of play.

Courage is "Grace Under Pressure"
