I mentioned in another thread that I had a chat with Yolanda. She is on her way to Russia to play (this week it seems), but will be back in about a month.
The most interesting tidbit (and one that warms my heart) is about her retirement. She will probably play only 1 more year, as has been reported. At that time, she wants to go and relax for awhile and get her body healed. An aside: She still has problems with her neck, from time to time and continues to do the stretching exercises for it.
After healing...here is the good part...she plans on returning here to coach. She is the oncourt coach here now. I laughed when she said that Coach Whiz may be the head coach, but once they get on the floor, the coaching duties fall to her.
Oh, and we did mention a little ceremony....
