The deal that was once in place to build a new basketball arena in Sacramento appears to be dead. After reaching what they thought was an agreement on a terms sheet to fund a new downtown arena, the Maloofs now have turned their back on their word and do not plan to go forward with the deal they previously agreed upon. This leaves the Sacramento Kings status for the future up in the air.
