Lots of teams are apparently calling Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge this week to...

I actually think Ray Allen would be an excellent player to have, because he would finally give us a good consistent outside threat. Team Announcers have been saying "nocioni is sacramento's best 3 pt shooter", and he shoots less than 40%. That isn't gonna cut it.

I'd do it if the celtics take noc off our hands. Only problem is Ray allen probably isn't gonna stick around for a MLE sized contract which is all we should offer him after his contract expires. But I really think having a perimeter threat would make our team a lot better and get tyreke more assists too.

So...trade Martin to the C's for Allen...we'd have a TON of $$$ both this and next offseason...DO IT GEOFF!!(not that this trade has any chance of getting done because it's just a rumor, and we all know how Petrie works, but I like the idea in theory.)

I really don't like this trade, never have. Kevin is NOT on a bad contract- however much you don't want to trade him, he's not a salary dump player. The only condition you salary dump him is if you get a decent pick in return- not a late 20's pick like Boston has.

Plus, Ray Allen is good, but even if he stays he's only got 2-3 good years of basketball left.

I'd rather have actual assets than cap space, which guarantees you nothign.
