Perfect. Able to continue the relationship at an even higher price going forward if he’s as good as we want/hope, but not too long to be handcuffed or have to wait to pivot off if everything either further stagnates or goes south.

Very very strange, but, since this front office has been very good as far as leaks go, i wont put the blame on them.
Well that's the thing. I'm pretty sure it was Brown and his agent. Hopefully moreso the agent, but it doesn't exactly thrill me ... especially when you consider Brown has guys sign the All for One thing and the know your role thing. But he deserves it, glad it's done, hopefully Monk is next.

3 for 30 is great. Monk knows who is coach and so do any potential mid level or minimum guys. This played out very similarly to the Ty Lue deal. Do they have the same agent?
My biggest contention is that he never should have had to go into next season in what was essentially the last year of his contract after our performance the last 2 years. Last year was a step back in some ways, but we did take a significant leap forward defensively. Now just about putting all those pieces together.
3 more years gives him plenty of chances to see if we turn this into a title contender or not. He's earned that opportunity and this pay-raise. Happy for all sides.

Great news! Looks like $8.5M per year as base salary that goes up to $10M per year based on incentives. I think it's a fair deal for both sides.
I believe that's the guaranteed amount with an additional $1.5 million per year available in performance incentives. We don't know yet what those incentives are but the most likely guesses are either win totals or reaching a certain level of the playoffs.
