With 4 teams left and the kings out...

Pistons, although I wouldn't mind if the Mavs win it all. It pains me to say it but they are a hell of a team now and they deserve it. Even the biggest Mavs hater has to admit that eliminating the defending champion on their home floor in a game 7 takes major balls.

Suns, Pistons, Heat, Mavs...in that order. My contempt for everything Maverick is just too deep-rooted to overcome.

Gotta go with the Mavs..sorry VF, I know YOU HATE DIRK! They're the only team I don't really have anything against.

all the teams i wanted to win are basically out.... and i dont want the mavs to win... so any team besides the mavs....

I would expect nothing less, dear hoopsie.

;)

Mavs. Dirk showed the Mavs the way to take Game 7 from the Spurs. He could potentially be the first Euro to lead his team to a title as the star player (or am I forgetting someone).

I think the Mavs can beat the Suns in 6 games or less. Question is whether Dirk can take down the Pistons, too. Mavericks have generally had pretty good success against the Pistons, if I recall, over the past few seasons.

In truth, though, since the Spurs are gone, I'm happy. No repeat championship for that team is fine with me.

Last summer Dirk carried German national team to semis of EC during the day and then proceeded to drink Belgrade bars dry during the night, so I acquired a healthy dose of respect for the guy. His game has improved and he "belongs" now so I wouldn't mind Mavs winning it all. Besides, with Finley and Van Exel gone there is only Cuban left to hate. Avery winning an NBA ring in his first full season would be a great story too.

Suns are fun to watch and they have a buch of players that are easy to like (Diaw, Marion, Nash), but they also have Bell and Tim F Thomas.

Pistons are still a great defensive team but are totally unexciting and unspectacular now that they strugled so much offensively with Cavs.

Heat is Wade and collection of players that I love to hate (Shaq, Walker, Payton...).

I just hope the rest of the play off is exciting and fun to follow and I don't care who the eventual winner is as long as the Heat lose.

It's just not the same. It sounds forced ... or contrived ... or just phony.

You just can't improve on the original, IMHO.

;)

Doesn't quite roll off the tongue like the original, eh? ;)

i would like to see heat or suns.. but pistons will win

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Mavs just beat the defending champions in OT on the road..why would you think the Pistons, who struggled vs. the Cavs would be such a lock to win?

Phoenix, Mavs, Heat, Pistons

Phoenix because I like watching Steve Nash,
Mavs because I think the best team should win,
Heat because they aren't the Pistons.

I'd say Mavs, Suns, Heat, Pistons.

Always root for the West (unless it's the Lakers).

I want someone new to win.

PISTONS!!! My house will be very sad if they don't take it all the way this year. Then again, my husband does have the Tiger season to watch as well.

And there's another difference between Kings Fans and Laker fans... it occurs to me that the only reason you don't have anything against the Mavericks is because they're the only one of the four teams that hasn't beaten the Lakers in the playoffs... well, aside from the Heat, which has Shaquille O'Neal. At least you see *some* Kings Fans rooting for Dallas around here (even though I personally have no idea why).

And, unlike Warhawk, being on the east coast, I *NEVER* root for the west to win, unless it's the Kings.

I just don't think the Cavs are getting their due. They shined, and it is not because the Pistons didn't.
