USA gets one past Slovakia in the final minute of period 1, taking a 2 goal lead into the 1st intermission.
Not gonna lie...I have not been a huge fan of the coverage on NBC, and this might largely be due to the fact that I do not have a subscription to Peacock. But, I shouldn't HAVE to switch back and forth between NBC and Peacock in order to watch a full event. I don't know how it was with both hockey games today, but it annoyed me to see 30-minute coverage windows on my TV guide for a lot of the events that were then moved over to Peacock to conclude.I'd really like to thank the Peacock network for spoiling the first game result (which was inevitable I guess) on the splash page.
Also I know I know, and having skated myself I know it looks a lot different on the ice but talk about kit clash with USA/SVK.
It's really great with Peacock which I've had forever but it was even better when they just had it all available on demand as part of a regular cable subscription. The fact that I've had two incredibly busy weeks along with the time difference has made it so I am almost always watching events on demand though and I do feel like the best part of the games is watching the live jump around mode and discovering something neat I'd never have watched otherwise. Not gonna lie...I have not been a huge fan of the coverage on NBC, and this might largely be due to the fact that I do not have a subscription to Peacock. In addition to not having a subscription to Peacock, another (likely) reason for me not being a huge fan is the fact that I like to set my DVR to record stuff (especially the ones that come on during the day, or overnight). Realizing that a lot of the events ONLY received a whopping 30 minutes of coverage, and the rest of the 90 minute recording was something I had very little to no interest in watching was quite annoying, to say the very least.
