Testament to staying the course.
Our squad was never in doubt, even pre-season when all the media were basing our trade with the 76ers we all saw the real value in what it enabled Vlade to do and what we brought in. You look at our squad and on paper there are actually very few areas you can pin point to say hey we could use an upgrade here. Ben has hit his mid season run and yeah if we can get a bit more out of Beli we’ll be in a better position at SG overall but really our squad is deep and coming together.
Synergy comes with time. We are seeing that now. Karl has slowly turned a corner also and before our eyes great things are happening.
I said it at the start of the season. Vlade for GM of the season. Its very obtainable if we use January 16 as the building block for our push for that 6th seed. From the draft onwards Vlade has been nothing short of steller.

What this man says! We can no longer be satisfied by a one and done 8th seed exit. We have the best big man in the league. There is a much greater narrative to this story. We havent even plumbed the depths of the assorted subplots yet. There is time for this cliff hanger to become an epic saga.
I still see Vlade making a move for a more consistent 2 guard. Both Belli and McLemore are playing terribly.

McLemore is athletic and starting to scrap like WCS. Plus he has the 3pt shot too.. I wouldn't move him. Marco though is all about his shot and if it isn't falling, well he may not be around for long

This team is not capable of playing at the level that a lot of us thought it was capable of even back in November/December.
This is a very talented team with a lot of pieces that complement each other. It took a while for the coaching staff to figure out how to best utilize the players and to be honest it's still a work in progress of them. As soon as we started posting Cousins up more, we started becoming a lot more dangerous. WCS is exactly what we hoped he would be next to DMC. It took Karl a while to start trusting him and injuries didn't exactly help WCS but its obvious that he should be a starter next to DMC and playing 30 minutes each night.
Now if Karl would only start playing Gay exclusively as a SF, use Marco differently where he gets him more shots with feet set in catch and shoot situations rather than coming off screens and shooting off balance jumpers. Also use Collison a bit better and it will all start clicking even more than it is at the moment.
Not that long ago some wanted this team demolished by trading all the key pieces. Patience is a virtue, there have been signs of this but now those signs are becoming more consistent.
