will spurs rest stars?!

would be helpful. At this point the best thing we need is a win. I don't care if its against Matt Bonner and Ayon, just a win. Bit of a character test after the tough losses, but you don't want them to come out shaky, lose again, and begin to get punch drunk. Spurs are old and beatable this early in the season. Hopefully Pop helps.

The Spurs will play 3 overtime periods, but the trio will still play tomorrow because that's the Kings' luck right now
I would find it funny if, as a sign of him considering us the bigger threat, Popovich sits Duncan and Ginobili tonight, so that they'll be fresh for us tomorrow. Now that would be just our luck; first time in a while that we're better than the gd lakers, and it still bites us in the ass.

Actually this is exactly what i thought of when i looked at the Spurs schedule last week

Nah no way you don't rest your starters when you have a sure win unless you are already a lock for the playoffs late in the season. They if they are going to rest there players will be either cause of a blowout or against us since it's a much tougher game. You don't risk a sure win so they can play better against us.

the Spurs can rest two of their starters and we would still lose the game most likely...so either way it's moot.

They played a back to back earlier in the week and no one rested (Clips & Warriors) so as long as the lakers keep it close and Duncan n Manu have to play I think its safe to say they might sit out. Also in the case of Pop resting them tonight to face us tommorow he had the chance to rest his guys vs the hawks in order to be fresh for the rockets on national TV but he rested them instead.

Piffle.

On our home floor? in November?

All I gotta say is that those stars better not include Duncan or Cuz might make what Dwight did to them last week look like a mere warmup.

Let's hope you are right.

I honestly think it would be better for them to play because

1- I selfishly want to see them at full strength for entertainment value
2- we have already shown a tendency to get whipped when we are overconfident, and
3- I think cuz can play well against Duncan, and those minutes will be valuable in helping Boogie's continued development in understanding what it takes to anchor a team on both ends of the floor

Marco Belinelli 2014-11-06 strained right groin is expected to miss 1-2 weeks
Patty Mills 2014-07-05 right shoulder surgery is out indefinitely
Tiago Splitter 2014-11-06 tightness in right calf is out indefinitely

They wouldn't be at full strength, anyway.

Not this time. Its more important to win, no matter how. If somebody sends them tainted burgers the night before the game, so be it. After this string of losses, we need the win, not some learning experience. We've "learned" enough lessons for the time being. Now we need to regain our swagger and try to run off these games at home before we hit the road again.

Well...that's like us not having, Ben, JT and Sessions. Not at 100%? Sure. Technically. But those aren't the straws in Spursland, and are precisely the level guys the Spurs machine always just replaces and moves on without. I want them to rest the old guys. Its been a few games since they did. Surely Pop must know that 3 or 4 games in a row can be very damaging to old guys' legs. Its time.

Whatever. Are they the 'straws'? No. Are they important? Ask Miami. Hell, ask Popovich: a healthy Splitter means that Duncan doesn't have to guard Cousins. As far as the Thompson-for-Splitter comparison, it's probably fair, but I tell you what: for all the mouth-foaming being directed at Thompson, his defense has been pretty important to the five wins we have. The Spurs are not as good defensively without Splitter.

Yes Duncan and ginobli getting minutes in tonight....looking good for them not to play. We need a win to heal this pain the easier the better. Period

Lakers are somewhat trying to keep it close. Lucky shot here or there, and they might keep it close well into the 4th.

Unless, of course, the gd lakers screw us by getting blown out.

I'm blaming you for the score so far... AND for me watching this stupid freaking game. I am, however, somewhat pleased to see that I still hate the freaking Lakers with every fiber of my being. And seeing Boozer out there in Laker "gold" makes me chuckle, as I know several Laker fans who really, really dislike him. :p

OMG, Kobe is stinking up the place and Hubie Brown still finds reasons to heap praise on his sorry patoot? Have I mentioned that I hate the Lakers?

If you mean them resting Ayon in favor of Tim Duncan or Patty Mills in favor of Tony Parker, then sure.

But at this point in the season, the Spurs are operating at maybe 60% capacity and just coasting until February.

Gosh I wish I still lived in SoCal.

I would be talking so much crap all season long. Kobe 1-14. HAHAHAHHAHA!!!!

Of course down in LA everyone is a Clippers fan "Since forever, waaaay before we got Griffin and Paul, honest!"

Anyways....I hope Pop doesnt rest his stars. I want us to beat the Spurs, not the Spurs 2nd unit.
