Will Peja stay and be happy now?

Peja Happy? and Stay?

We gave up our 1 MVP type guy for another, younger, guy. Will he stay. If he does then the trade might not be all that bad especially if he becomes MVP-Peja from last year. But will he seeing that Vlade is gone.

Peja better be happy now. The question for me is not will he be happy (because I think he will), but will he put up a decent playoff performance. I have yet to see the quality of play from Peja in the playoffs that I would expect. Now that Webb's gone his excuses are out the window, so he'd better make it work.

Ugh if your star isn't happy he isn't going to perfrom and there's no point in keeping him. The last thing we need is Vince Carter in Toronto. Do you realize that things like that occur readily.

I certainly think that the Kings organization thinks he will now since he certainly wasn't going to stay if CWebb was still here. But I think it's unlikely that you will see him return to the streak he had last year before CWebb came back...people forget that Vlade was the guy doing most of the passing when Peja was hitting and that Peja's productivity dropped when Brad was distributing the ball. Plus, Peja takes low percentage shots. He's got to develop his post up game and settle for 18-20 2's more.

How about this, how about we stop worrying about if guys are happy and gets guys who are professional enough for that not to be an issue. I don’t know if #16 is happy, and I don’t care. I want to see him on the floor and producing. This team is truly at the crossroads and doesn’t have any margin for error to sit around worrying about if a guy is happy. Be a man, a professional, suck it up and play.

Reys, has Peja done this all year long. Has he done it since Webber has come back? I have to question his heart, I have to question his integrity, because he hasn't looked half the man he was last year. Thing is he won't produce if he doesn't want to be there, which was easily proved this year. He didn't want to be a King with Webber, so he played like trash most games where Webber was in. All I'm hoping for is a better Peja. I saw what he did last year and he was easily better than Dirk the first 60 games of the regular season last year. Can he be better than Dirk this year? Dirk without Nash is better for both? Can Peja without Webb be the same way for both parties?

Just should not have come down to this. What happend to all the talk that no p,ayer is bigger than the team? But now we are going to put Peja's interest above the team? No, that's not the way it works or should work.

Peja was awesome last year for the first 3 quarters and was easily the MVP of the team. That's all I want, I want that Peja. I want the happy Peja that I saw last year leading the team. He wasn't the floor leader but he was leading the team to wins.

Yes the Team comes before the players but we need a good/great Peja to be a factor in the West. That's all I'm asking for.

Incredibly tough.Usually when Petrie makes a trade, its a slam dunk. Right now, with this one, we are still trying to inbound the ball.

I don't remember once Peja saying he is unhappy (especially because of Webber). I think it was all media hype because Webber's press conference and calling out the (un)named player.

The only thing Peja ever said is that he thinks that the Kings could benefit from him leaving and subsequently get better. He never even said that he wanted to leave so he could play somewhere where he would be more of a "man" on the team.

If anything Peja's comments were because of Vlade, but I seriously doubt they were because of Webber.

Who cares if he's happy or not ?

He's contracted to the Kings, and that's all that matters. This franchise wasn't founded to make Peja Stojakovic a happy camper.

I guess him asking to be traded isn't unhappy. Most players who are happy don't ask to be traded. On what team would Peja be the #1 option if he leaves for FA.

I think it very much matters if his play this season is any indication of what you get out of Peja when he's NOT happy.

Brick, I think this move is only the first step in getting our little Peja happy, the next one would be to modify his contract. I find it hard to believe he will play better considering is grossly underpaid, and this so called move that Petrie makes does absolutely nothing to free up cap space for Peja.

yeah, Peja can now pout & point and the Kings can jump to try to satisfy him. Let's just keep giving him what he wants and THEN maybe he'll play better. I think we'd better get Vlade back immediately if we want to salvage this season, otherwise poor Peja still might not be mentally able to play.

Peja hasn't been Peja since LAST YEAR. When Webber returned, he went to being a 19-20,4-5 guy with just about 45% from the floor. Not very much has changed this year. Might have gotten slightly worse with Mobley's arrival, but that's about it. He definitely suffered from Webber's return for whatever reasons. On the other hand, Bibby + Christie played much better.

We'll see how it turns out.

Peja's numbers went from normal to up and back to normal. Not a suprise when the superstar leaves and someone steps up. Peja's numbers this year are very similar to what they were in 2002. Any suprise, both times with Webber.

but last year there was Vlade and Doug who gave up the ball to him. Now we have Miller and Mobley, who want more shots than Vlade or Doug. Things aint going to be the same.

BTW guys who has missed more games this year Peja or Webber. The suprising answer is PEJA. I hope these looming injuries stop happening.

I'm sorry but I will have to pass on this poll.

It's all about ME. Will I be happy? I will be happy if Kings win. 50+ wins at least and a great showing in PO's. I will be happy if Pedja is scoring and playing well.

Other then that, I don't really care whether he stays/goes/happy/unhappy.
