I was very against drafting Fredette and was even more upset that the Kings traded down just to get back John Salmons. I remember hoping Valunciunas would slip with Kawhi Leonard being next on my list of hopefuls.
And even as I tried to convince myself that Jimmer might be great next Tyreke as a floor spacer I was still frustrated with the pick.
All that said, this reads like a hit piece. Fredette hasn't been successful on the NBA level and I've always felt that was much more due to his physical and skill limitations rather than his attitude, though the article seems to insinuate the opposite. It's not like I have a direct pipeline to the Kings front office but I never heard Fredette mentioned as having a bad attitude or being a problem player. Just not a very good one.
