Hibbert was one of those players coming out of college that scares GMs. He had the size, but really lacked speed OR quickness. Many thought he would struggle to keep up with the pace of the NBA. However, he went and lost a lot of weight between his 1st & 2nd year and that resulted in him gaining enough quickness to be effective in the NBA.

JT was my pick for that draft, but I have to admit a small lack of commitment. Funny that I allowed myself to be put in the position of defending a player that I wouldn't have picked, but did recognize some potential in. Speaking of Alexander of course. Live and learn. Potential is just that, and I confess to having a soft spot for late bloomers and over acheivers. Knowing for sure is the problem. I. Thomas is certainly an over acheiver, and apparently capable of playing in the NBA. In general, the only sure things are the under acheivers. If you under acheive in college, the odds are slim that you'll be successful in the NBA.
