When was Arco at its loudest

Hi Guys. First of all GOOD LUCK in Game 6 today. I have visited Arco about 5 times for games in the last 2 years. It is certainly a great experience and you guys are No 1 fans in the NBA. What year/era has Arco been the loudest in regards to crowd participiation in the games. When did it really rock?

Never been to Arco but I've heard either the Kings' first home game or after Mike Bibby hit the game winner in game 5 of the 2002 WCF.

Going by "era" I'd go with KingCookie, but I often hear talk of the walls shaking and being in general very loud to this day. After Martin's game winner I don't doubt that one bit.

Tonight will be the loudest ever.

In my humble opinion...

1) Game 5 WCF vs. Lakers
2) Game 3 vs. Seattle (1996 Series)
3) Game 3 vs. Utah
4) Game 7 WCF vs. Lakers (might seem strange to see this game far down the list, but it was that there was more of a constant, nervous buzz than pure ramped up noise...)

I don't think I've ever heard a crowd at any sporting event as loud as Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Lakers. When Bibby hit that shot the noise was cracking in my ears. It was unreal.

That one had to be at the top of my list, simply because it hurt my ears through the television.

...And I loved every minute of it :D

All I know is that Arco had better be rocking tonight! GO KINGS!

During the playoffs a couple of years ago, not sure when, but the series with the Dallas Mavericks.

You could hear the audio equipment cracking, the crowd was that loud.

thats a toss up I think, between Games 3/4 in 1996 Playoffs, and 2002 against LA, Game 5/7 especially. although, 2000 against the Lakers was pretty damn loud, too.

I got chills reading this thread since I was at ALL of these games.

Wow, such memories. Unbelievable.

ditto, and I was watching it in a theatre lobby that was packed and even IT was louder than loud! that was the happiest moment of my sports life, actually it was one of the happiest moments in my life, period, beings that the Kings have been such a big part of my life since day one in 1985.
