What's New, Stephen A. Hatin Again

Stephen A. is at it again bashing the Kings. During the NBA shootaround he says the Kings look AWFUL, JUST PLAIN AWFUL. Not that I don't agree with the statement, but he then goes on to say he knows what Peja and Bibby can do, but the rest of the team looks awful. Did he happen to see the games? Had Peja and Bibby done what they do, we would have won. Simple as that. He has his head so far up his arse it has now popped back out his neck. Later, Smith tosses out of his mouth that Adelman should be fired, and Petrie may be next. What a tool.

guys a clown, straight up. i remember during the 02 west finals when we were up 3-2 in the series going into game 6 of the series in LA and he says, "the lakers winning friday. they winning friday". he gave the kings no props for what they had done in that series. theres just this hatred for the kings that goes nationwide and for what reason i have no idea.

You know what's funny? I like his talk show "Quite Frankly", he's more well-behaved, asks semi-provocative questions and pulls good guests. But on Shootaround? No words...he just makes me angry. He's so much more actor than analyst he deserves to be slapped. He's just mean to be mean...kind of like a hip-hop Grant Napear, has no idea what he's talking about but still bothers to make everyone angry. Both are well-beahaved in different formats as well, not to imply Grant is a good play-by-play man but that's another thread entirely...

I've caught some good "Quite Frankly" episodes and you're right. He is a completely different person, a two faced punk.

Anthony said the Kings have no leadership and it’s not in Peja's or Bibby's personality to be leaders. Agreed

Stephen A said the Kings look downright awful and that if things don't turn around the Maloof brothers may come after RA and Petrie. He said MAY, and then went on to say he didn't know if they were happy with RA right now. He didn't toss out a blanket statement that they should be fired.

Stephen A also said. He knows what Bibby and Peja can do he wasn't worried about them (meaning they will come around). The rest of the team he was saying looks bad.

Legler said the Kings were the most un-athletic team in the league and they put no pressure on the ball. Again agreed.

If we are talking about the first 2 games and what we witnessed in the preseason tell me what they said was not true?

Personally I dislike the commentary of Greg Anthony the most. I thought they were pretty much saying what most are saying about the Kings right now. Again its only 2 games.

Yeah...but the rest of the team doesn't look that bad. Other than his 7 (yikes!) turnovers against Houston, Bonzi Wells looked like Ben Wallace with a jump shot. Brad Miller played very well and Shareef has looked good too. Brian Skinner is developing into a stud role player. Kenny Thomas is MIA, Martin and Garcia are BOTH playing like rookies and Jason Hart is hurt, so that's not so hot. Really right now, Steven's comments about the "rest of the team" aren't that accurate. If Bibby and Peja will "come around" sometime this season, all talk of the team looking terrible will subside.

I like the fact that he hedged the comments about coaching/management (I didn't see the episode). And yeah...other than Jason Hart no one pressures the ball and he's a cripple right now. He's dead right about the athletcism.

With you on Greg Anthony too...actually.."House Party Live" might be a better basketball show than Shootaround and that's just sad!

Hey, I feel ya man, I'm a Kings, Twins, Canucks(sucked pretty bad before Naslund and Bert), my only saving grace was my Niners...but dammit if I wouldnt give back all 5 rings the Niners won for 1 freaking Kings ring!!
