cleveland is a weird team! one day they come out and spank the mavs and next day they lose by more than 20 to the pacers........ reminds me of another team i know......... hehe
What's going on in Cleveland??....nothing out of ordinary, just their annual end of the season meltdown. All I see is an overhyped team on its way out of the playoffs. Their management is making some dumb moves...they fire Silas, then they let Paxon go (who btw, might join his brother in Chicago).....but I guess thats to be expected when you have Usher as the co-owner

they're a young team and they just got a new owner who wants to shake things up. the ownership is clearing house to make way for their own guys-even though that was pretty stupid to do it midseason. and you have got to have been on that desert isle with gargamel to think james is leaving- he's the SOLE REASON this franchise got sold, there's no way they're trading him. maybe if they keep up with the constant roster changing, he'll get sick of it and leave as a free agent (i believe in 07)

Yeah Paxson is still the GM but i do think they were gonna fire him but since the media got a hold of the fact before the owners could do it...they are now gonna wait awhile before firing him...this is what im thinking
I do feel bad for the Cavs fans though...but that team will have a complete makeover in the offseason and will be a MUCH better team for the entire season next year im pretty sure of it

cavs will not trade james for anything. he is their franchise. the only hope of any team getting him is landing him as a free agent, and that's gonna be tough seeing as the cavs are buidling themselves solely around lebron, and him changing teams could cause major damage to his image.

All of them... as in the whole NBA. Or just pick the 5 or 6 best and do that. I think that's basically what it'd take to convince them to give up the guy. From the perspective of the front office, he's the perfect player to have. 1) He's young 2) He's an unselfish superstar 3) He's from the area 4) He's a marketing monster.
Now, back to the topic at hand. This is what you get when you have a mid-season ownership change. Usually this only happens with lame teams that are in a salary dump mode, so it doesn't have much effect. But this isn't some 20-something win squad full of malcontents, they were actually overachieving and getting a lot out of a roster with limited depth.
So now it looks like the only way to fix things up and move ahead is to let Big Z, McInnis (and whoever else is a free agent) walk this summer so they have $18-19 million in cap space to work with. If they screw that up, I think there is a legitimate chance that LeBron finds greener pastures in the summer of '07.
What on Earth could LeBron James (perhaps the most popular athlete in the world) have against Jim Paxson, the Cavaliers general manager? Why would getting rid of Paxson be on LeBron's agenda? I can understand the Silas argument (as hard as it is to fathom), but the GM?
