You win a lot of games when you hold your opponen to 36% shooting. Yes I know they were tired and short handed but we've had the same things happen to us all year.

Mavs still went 9 guys deep, too.

...and all they effectivey did was get rid of peja and skinner....and add ron....and they go from an 18-24 team to a 14-7 team....

At the risk of ruffling the feathers of any Peja fans who might still be around, getting Peja off the team was, IMHO, just as important as getting Ron here. There was NO chemistry this year. There was no team unity. It was clear to everyone, even those who didn't want to admit it, that Peja did NOT want to be here, regardless of the "party line" comments he made. There had been too much drama, too much water under the bridge, etc.

The whole dynamic of Kings basketball had changed and Peja was suffering the most from it. He was being asked to perform in a role he was clearly not cut out to fill. It wasn't fair to him, it wasn't fair to the team and it wasn't even fair to the fans.

So, yes...the acquisition of Artest has been huge, as I've said in other threads, but letting Peja go to a place where he can be properly utilized and apparently happier was also very important.
