Weird issue with Kingsfans and Firefox

Anyone else hit a big patch of lag loading the google ads (upper right corner) when using Firefox?

It just started happening in the last week or so. Odd. Whenever I change a forum and have to re-load the Google ads, Firefox hangs up for like 8 seconds.

I might need to check the No Script settings and make sure all the Google servers are allowed.

I get an error through No Script about the cross site script for page2ads.googlesyndication. I told No Script to allow googlesyndication so I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm still using Firefox 2

I figured it out. It was a problem with the XSS filter on No Script. I disabled it.

Whoever created adblock should receive some kind of Nobel prize. With my slow dial-up, those ads used to really make it tough for me to do things like the PBP. Now, though, I have no problems.

Adblock is a bit hyperaggressive for me. It seriously blocks everything. As a high speed internet user, this isn't always a good thing. Streaming video, audio, java apps for paying bills, etc, all get blocked. That's why I prefer No Script. But occasionally No Script gets a bit aggressive too!


Either way though, Kudos to Mozilla for keeping me spyware free for the last three years.

You can adjust your adblock for each site. I'm not that savvy with this stuff, so the "script/no script" thing always just confused the crap out of me. With adblock, I see the little red stop sign in the upper corner for Kingsfans, com, but the little green thingy for some other sites.

That probably makes no sense whatsoever to anyone who actually knows what they're talking about , but it works for me.

I've noticed since last week that when I come to this site, it takes 15 seconds to load. I'm still having this problem. I'm on the new version of 3.0 of Firefox. I even disabled no script, ad block and still same problem. I might have to start using IE7 and I hate using it.

You have to adjust the XSS filter. Basically, just disable it. You can still allow adblock and No Script to function.

Go into the options for No Script (easiest way is to click the "S" icon on the bottom bar). Select the XSS tab and uncheck both boxes in this window.
