they lost... oh well, maybe next time gilbert... you'll get them...

Now featuring Game 2

Not Wally Szczerbiak...

If you let Szczerbiak take it to the hole on you, you should be required to forfeit.

Arenas and Stevenson looked like complete idiots today. They absolutely have not backed up their words. Stevenson's kiss to the crowd after making a three pointer that cut their deficit down to SIXTEEN was beyond arrogant - and even foolish. The Wizards clobber James strategy backfired as well. This is what happens to a team that runs their mouths.

Series is not yet over, cavs held serve. Lets see what wiz can do. I am expecting a 7 game series.

That flagrant 2 was bull, even the announcers were mad at that call, no one other than the chosen one gets flagrant 2 for that call

Sorry, vladetomiller, but I think the Wizards are getting exactly what they deserve. As far as the flagrant 2 goes, it could have gone either way. I think the increasing thuggery going on, though, made the difference. They might reverse it but I think it was the right call to make at the time.

And I predict the Cavs will sweep the Wizards out of the way like an old dust bunny...

So, Mr. Stevenson, still think Lebron is overrated?

I'm gonna predict 4-1 Cavs. I don't think Washington will lose two at home.

Yeah I agree the flagrant 2 was bull and it's funny Lebron didn't even get a foul called on him for elbowing Blatche(I think) in the face in game one. These refs are BS, lebron gets all the calls.

No, no, no. Not at all. This had nothing to do with LeBron James.

The Wizards are clearly trying to beat LeBron up, reminiscent of the '80s Bad Boy Pistons thuggery on MJ.

I'm not saying that LeBron doesn't get calls that other players wouldn't, because he does, same as Jordan did. But their strategy in this series has been to foul LeBron hard whenever he drives to the rim, and it's clearly evident to anyone who watched the first two games.

The foul last night could have resulted in a serious injury, and Haywood made no attempt to block the shot. He didn't even jump. He just pushed LeBron out of bounds, while he was in midair, causing him to land six or seven feet behind the backboard. That's a dangerous foul, and because Haywood didn't even try to disguise it as a clean foul, he deserved a flagrant two, and the coach should be fined as well for allowing that type of thuggery. Not because it's LeBron James, but because it was a dirty foul that could cause someone to be seriously injured.

That kid covers a lot of area vertically and horizontally (and fast). Haywood's foul was probably the only thing they can do to stop his Gumby routine.

Songaila suspended for Wizards' Game 6 at Cavs

NEW YORK -- Washington Wizards reserve forward Darius Songaila has been suspended one game for striking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the face with his hand, and will sit out Friday night's Game 6 of the playoff series.
Songaila hit James in the first period of Washington's 88-87 win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday in Game 5.
The suspension was announced Friday by NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson.

I doubt it, but I also don't think it was a flagrant. It looked to me like their arms got tangled, and it was inadvertant.

I didn't think it was inadvertant. Their arms got tangled, and he did flail a little bit in getting his arm free, but then, after that, in a separate motion, he got LeBron in the face.

I don't think it warrants a suspension on its own, but if you're going to go according to the letter of the law, then it was pretty much expected.
