"Considering his status among the legends of coaching, Larry Brown has a rather bizarre resume. Age: Old. Health: Lousy. Last stop: Told (reportedly) to get lost in his native New York, where coaching the Knicks was his dream job. The stop before that: Paid to get out of Detroit, where his act had grown thin. And this is the next coach of the Warriors? Sometimes there's nothing more depressing than a really hot rumor."
"Whether he realizes it or not, Larry Brown has reached the point where his NBA career is over. He always talked about spending his twilight years in bliss, coaching impressionable kids at the high-school level or even lower. That time is now."
"It would bring no disgrace. The term "restless soul," always attached to Brown, works well for a youthful genius with a ton of ambition. It does not befit a 65-year-old man who has made every stop but Peoria. Larry Brown needs to settle down, for good, and remove the stress that has eaten away at him for years. A one- or two-year stop in Oakland, or any other NBA city, is hardly the answer."
"Kevin Garnett (to the Warriors)? Please. Who started that rumor? Aside from the untouchable Jason Richardson, there isn't anyone who would interest the Timberwolves in the slightest. Garnett is a less-than-zero possibility."
"It's safe to say, also, that after dealing with the uncoachable Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis, (Larry) Brown would be exasperated with (Baron) Davis by New Year's. We have grown to love Davis around here, largely because he took a downtrodden franchise and made it respectable."

Bit surprised to see them say that about KG. Warriors have a ton of young talent. Regardless, I can't really see KG winning or contending there.
Funny bit: "We have grown to love Davis around here, largely because he took a downtrodden franchise and made it respectable."
What, two good runs (late 2005, early 2005) that turned out to be meaningless?
