[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

The pettiness of the Warriors who were hellbent on not seeing Kuminga blossom in a Kings uniform.

Serves them right to see their franchise go down as Curry career ends in play-in level mediocrity.
Honestly though, what good is Malik Monk or Deebo going to do the warriors right now? It’s annoying to me we couldn’t get him in the offseason but I get why the warriors didn’t want what we have. The Zinger ender contract is however kind of pointless for them.

unless Perry was willing to give up a unprotected first, the Warriors front office was never going to deal Kuminga to the same division

i said it even when he was still on the Warriors on his way back to the doghouse.

Kings, or atleast much of the fans, are going to regret that we didn’t get Kuminga because they wouldn’t remove or simply lower protections on what was likely a distant future first rounder. Which I hear is what made the deal not happen. Also, making Keon “untouchable” and then ultimately using him as a chaser to get rid of a guy nobody wanted in the first place.

Thats just my prediction. I already think it sucks. But most will think so as well.

I am disappointed we didn’t get him but the warriors just never seemed genuinely interested in making a deal with us. Maybe if we offered Keon, salary and a first it could have happened but we never really heard anything substantial on their end through the whole process. I’m happy he’s out of that toxic situation

It just didnt make sense the warrior chose porzingis instead of our package. same division argument? warrior only faces 2 extra times if it was the Kings. Better fit? On paper, but porzingis only plays on paper instead of on a court. He has played exactly 1 game so far.

Did the Warriors seriously give Gui Santos a 3 year 15mil contract for a guy who's not an NBA player in any way shape or form, the guy would struggle to get on the floor in the Eurolesgue and is not even a main player on the Brazil team. I guess they got the SF they wanted. Warriors are probably the only team that has a worse young core than the Kings currently.

Same division is a big thing. If he went and tore it up just 90 minutes up the road then they would look even worse than they do now. Even with it just being 3 games,

I’m listening to Bay Area 680 AM and Kuminga is the number one topic. They’re playing audio of Dominque Wilkins wondering what the hell they were thinking and Hawks fans chanting “Thank you Warriors”

But still, sounds like the Kings overplayed their position considering the extra reluctance the Warriors had to trade JK to them(compared to other teams) due to the division and fan/media proximity.

If it’s true that we didn’t get him over a single first rounder with lower protections as many report. I predict it will go down in infamy with other Kings FO blunders because I do believe Kuminga is going to break out.

Maybe thats the reason warrior hasnt been run properly for a while. Looking bad should not be a factor player transaction. Plus, which one look worse? traded for players he can't play or at least 1-2 players who can help the team right now? Warrior just mis-managed the situation to the maximum, just like us mis-managed Ellis situation.
