We get it already, Mike Dunleavy added you on WhatsApp.

I truly don't understand why they're scoffing at Monk. That's an archetype they ACTUALLY do need, behind Steph as a ball-handler/creator. Them being resistant to trade Buddy (lol) or Moody (who they also screwed up developing) is even more insane.

So they're really just gonna let Kuminga rot on the bench with a QO?

I'm guessing it's because they already have Steph, Draymond, Podz and Butler for ball handling. They're probably looking for more defenders and less redundant skills.

It's because $$$ and the tax lines and knowing they won't find a taker for Buddy.

If they haven’t talked in two weeks, I guess that means there is no new interest from other teams either. Any talk with another team would require feedback from JK about the contract they are willing to offer.

It’s crazy how poorly GS has handled this.
There's nothing to talk about. The Warriors have given him 2 options. Take the 1 year QO or the 2 Year $20 mil. I guess he has a 3rd option to go oversea's.

I remember a day when there was little market for a player the players agent or representation were on the clock, not the team. Unless the Bulls have interest and Kuminga knows it, next summer isn't going to be much different. There is so little money out there next season that the Bulls could literally strong arm the league at the deadline if a team is looking to move off money. How did the Kings become the Bulls and the Bulls become primed for a quick rebuild? This is crazy.

If he waits until the start of the season they can't trade him on the 2 year. If he takes the QO they can't trade him and lose him for nothing but I guess they can sign their targets. Its still best for them to play ball on the deal we're offering. At some point he can also sign a multiyear MLE deal with a team that wants to F with the Warriors.

They definitely will trade him if he is actually intending to sign the QO

Yeah, they've done a horrible job posturing their "position of strength". Kuminga signing the QO just effectively nukes any sort of value or return they get. I'd be curious if it gets bad enough where GS basically just has to take whatever we "want" to offer them. Or would they rather just let him rot for a year and not trade him?
