The Lakers are never giving the warriors Lebron, not for any package, IMO, let alone Kuminga.I’ve always felt the plan is to pair Curry with LeBron. Kuminga plus pick(s) probably get it done.

At this point, the Kings don’t need to be trading for wings just because they fit a certain description on paper. Don’t get me wrong, i love Kuminga’s athleticism and i do think his upside is higher than Kerr may think, but, we need a wing that can defend at a high level and help Keegan and Keon out on the perimeter defensively.Bull****. If it happens it happens but give me a break.

I wouldn’t mind the Kings going after him at some point but It sounds like Kuminga isn’t the smartest player right now and tends to get lost on that end of the floor. I have a feeling the honeymoon period wouldn’t have lasted so long between Kuminga and a lot of the fans, with many people assuming he can solve a lot of our problems.
It's pretty clear what's going on here. Kuminga's agent got his *** handed to him like he was always going to and is still playing the media to drum up interest in his client. Kuminga could explode and a godfather deal comes to the Warriors and there's nothing Kuminga or his agent can really do about what happens from there but if he explodes the Warriors will probably some how miraculously repair the rift. It's what they do.
I don't understand why Kuminga's agent spent most of the summer saying that they would take the Qualifying Offer to be free of Restricted status in a year only to just take the two year offer and surrender control anyway. I guess money is money but if you're going to stand firm, then stand firm.
I think they were banking on a Wes Wilcox or Vlade type of negotiation and find out quickly that this ain't that lol! They were a few months too lateYeah, really, haha. He tried to manufacture leverage that wasn't there. Once it was clear the few teams with space had no interest or trade offers weren't lighting up the phones it was over. His poker face was basically backed by the only move he had that point, throwing his cards on the table and eating the loss, lol.
I don't understand why he'd actually sign the QO though either (something I was steadfastly adamant would never happen as it is financially crippling for a player looking for a large payday). As far as I'm aware, the only player that actually signed his QO Quentin Grimes and wasn't given an offer as Philly has a logjam at his position.I don't understand why Kuminga's agent spent most of the summer saying that they would take the Qualifying Offer to be free of Restricted status in a year only to just take the two year offer and surrender control anyway. I know it was a nasty piece of work but that "why he doesn't fit" video really had me questioning whether he'd wind up our next biggest regret. As much as it would have filled a position of need, I'm ok with the result. That said, we are still looking to fill a position of need.

The reality is if he signs the QO he's an MLE at best player for the next 3 years. He can still force a sign and trade without drastic BYC next year. The only thing that makes no sense is giving up his no trade clause but maybe it's not as simple as reported - like he'll accept trades but not any trade. Because if he plays both years of the contract with his new club he gets early Bird rights and also a potential large payday.
If he had signed the QO it would have gone down with Nerlens Noel level malpractice.
I didn't mean financially crippling in terms of his personal finances, I meant financially crippling in terms of the options available to him with his next contract.I understand what you mean but to be honest, given everything I see going on in my city when I walk outside the door right now, to use the words "financially crippling" to describe a person accepting an offer to make $8 million in salary over one year after already making nearly $25 million in salary over the past four is really rubbing me the wrong way. He could have and would have survived with less money if he really cared about putting his future into his own hands. And that is a decision I would have applauded and may have even set a precedent for other players who find themselves in similar circumstances in the future. Forgive me for invoking the spectre of violence unnecessarily, but there is such a thing as "winning the battle and losing the war". In this case I think he may have lost both.
Oh yeah humble pie is most definitely on the way for them and I don't think they'll be able to avoid it. Horford is a nice addition for them but they're only delaying the inevitable and nowhere near OKC or even Denver IMO.I know it was a nasty piece of work but that "why he doesn't fit" video really had me questioning whether he'd wind up our next biggest regret.
I just hope GS gets burned in the end. So many ways that can happen.
