Voisin: Augustin, Gallinari (if they fall) or frontcourt player

Even though the Pacers are planning to get T.J. Ford, I think they still might want to get DJ as a back up point guard. A guy that the Pacers can move forward with but isn't going to be pushed onto the court. He's going to get experience.

Does anybody know how many years left Ford has left on his contract?

I think the paper today said 2 years

TJ Ford has 3 years left at around 7-8 million a year. I think the Pacers may look at Chalmers at #17 and then nab a PF or C type at #11. Perhaps Jordan/Arthur/Speights/Randolph at #11 or even Eric GOrdon if he's still there. Indy needs a young 2 guard as well. I think Augustin very well might be there at #12 now.

1 - Rose
2 - Beasley
3 - Mayo
4 - Westbrook
5 - Love
6 - Gallinari
7 - Bayless
8 - Alexander
9 - Lopez
10 - Randolph
11 - Gordon
12 - Augustin

Just double checked the paper and they definitely say 2 years 16.5 million guaranteed. Got those numbers from Amick's article entitled "Dominoes will start to fall soon for Kings". Either they got it wrong, which is a very real possibility, or perhaps the last year is an option?

"The question for the Kings is whether they can fill their need any other way. There has been much trade talk around the league surrounding Toronto's T.J. Ford, a young, up-tempo point guard who is available for the right price but whose contract (two years and $16.5 million guaranteed) is no bargain on its own. The draft could still produce results at the point as well, but only if the likes of Texas' D.J. Augustin or even Arizona combo guard Jerryd Bayless fall their way."

It's two years left with an option. Don't know if it's a team or player option though, if it's a player's option it might as well be three years because players rarely decline their options unless they had a huge year and with Ford's injury vulnerability he probably won't get a whole lot two years from now.

My feeling exactly on the Pacers. They are getting someone in Ford who has absolutely proven to be injury prone. And his neck injury is something that can end a career. So given that fact, why wouldn't they take Augustin to back Ford up and eventually take over?

thats very true, i regards to Gallinari i really hope we dont take him if he falls. DJ i can live with but i still feel its priority to sure up our frontcourt

It's a player option, which would make it 3 years. WIth his injury risk.
