The father of former Sacramento Kings player Vlade Divac has died in a car crash, according to Serbian news reports.

Milenko Divac, 77, died at the hospital after what’s being described as a horrific car crash. His wife, Radmila , 72, was injured in the accident, but is expected to survive.

Serbian media reports say the car struck a light pole, then fell off a road and rolled several times. near Cacak, Serbia.

Has anything been reported on his father's condition immediately before the crash? I ask because my immediate thought was of when Macho Man Randy Savage died, a couple years ago: according to the coroner's report, he'd suffered a heart attack which, ostensibly, he could have survived, except he was behind the wheel at the time. He lost control of his vehicle, and ran off the road. Now I'm wondering if that may have happened with Milenko?

He lost control of his vehicle, and ran off the road. Now I'm wondering if that may have happened with Milenko?

Vlade's parents lived in a town where snow falls heavily. It was probably an icy road but that's an interesting thought. Or maybe something blew up in the car. I'm sure Vlade will some extra money to find out exactly what happened but the good thing is his mother is safe and she will be able to probably tell all.

My condolences to the Divac family as well. Such a sad way to go out. Despite being 77, I'm sure he still had plenty of years left in him. Seemed like such a nice family when I watched Once Brothers. A gentle man :'(
