Vlade Divac on Grant's show today!

Hey guys just for those of you who may not of heard I just thought I'd put it out there. I'm personally looking forward to what he has to say on the situation.

Listening to Vlade promise to be in Sacramento in 2016 for the opening game of the new arena gave me chills. I immediately started a new savings account to make sure I'm there, too. :)

I loved when Robert Horry hit that big shot on the Kings and he said from the locker room. "Robert Horry got lucky."

If Valde’s tip was high enough to go over RH head the clock would have run out and we probably would have a NBA World Champion banner hanging from the ARCO rafters. And just when I thought that I have gotten over that game…….. Was Horry lucky? Dam right!

If it had even bounced slightly to his left or right where he had to move to the ball and reset himself -- anything but bouncing straight to him like a perfectly placed pass -- he wouldn't have got that shot off in time.

Making the shot wasn't at all lucky. We've seen Horry make those time and time again. The bounce of the ball and the fact that he still had just enough time to get it off is where the luck occurred.

Funny, the thing most people never talk about with that shot is why Horry was still standing where he was when he was. It made sense to be where he was as Kobe drove the lane. But after Kobe missed, Horry should have been crashing the boards just as Webber and nearly every other player attempted to do once Kobe then Shaq missed at point blank range. While it luckily worked out for the Lakers, that was a fundamentally bad play by their 6'10" power forward.

The point is that he told Horry while he was talking in an after the game interview that he got lucky. That was Vlade! Vlade interrupted Horry during the interview. That was funny! But it was true but it was funny!

Caught part of the interview on my drive home. What a great guy Vlade is. Also kind to do the interview at almost midnight his time. It left hope maybe at some point he'll be back and maybe be involved with the team as his two sons go to school in the states and it sounded as if he expects his daughter to follow them in a few years.

Gives me chills, too. I love Vlade. There's no way I won't be there when the first game is played in the new arena! I'll save my money so my son and his family will be there with me. :)

By the way. The interview will be up on the 1140 website as a podcast on Wednesday..
