Everyone can vote for these playoff match-ups (even if you didn't participate in the draft). Don't be shy!

Feel free to back-up your rationale here.

I get the impression that Supes and I just don't like the same type of movies, so Rookie's list had a pretty easy win - two Kubrick, one Woody Allen, one Billy Wilder and a bunch of other solid stuff makes for a good list.

And yes, I voted for myself. Warhawk had both Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, he had Spaceballs, he had O Brother...but my list was the only one where I love all 20 movies. Had to go with that.

I'm getting whooped here! ;)

Supes has a great list for my rewatchability ideals so I voted for that one over the rooks. Gladiator, Ocean's 11, Iron Man, Rush Hour, The Town.....all great stuff.

Spaceballs, Christmas Vacation, and Conan the Barbarian are three solid picks in a row. That gets my vote.

I thought we had the most similar lists. About half of your picks fit in my library very well. I thought we would be matched up with each other, but I guess that's to come.

Very good logic. I like some of your movies (Eternal Sunshine, Princess Bride, Up), but I've never seen about half of them. Not big on foreign films with subtitles. But I think you'd be an interesting cat to spend a day with.

So many strong movies on your list Rookie, but I am guessing you don't have a major problem with smile lines. :)
The comedies I wanted all got picked before i could take them. A film doesn't have to be a pure comedy to be funny though. Goodfellas, Glengarry Glen Ross, Ghost World, Sling Blade, River's Edge, A Clockwork Orange, Crimes and Misdemeanors, and Short Cuts all have their share of funny moments. But of course, nothing i picked can compete with the sheer cinematic greatness of stuff like Hook,TRON: Legacy, and Back to the Future Part III.

The first matchup was a no brainer for me since Rookie was number one in my rankings. The second was harder and even if Warhawk has a pretty entertaining list (Space Balls, LOTR, O Brother) I voted for the Captain because of the variety and overall quirkiness of his picks and also because of The Big Lebowski.

I voted for Supes and Warhawk. I really liked Rookie's list though, there are probably more movies I like individually but I just like the flow of Supe's list even if there are one or two movies I don't quite get on it. Warhawk vs. Captain was a little different. I do like the quirkiness of Captain's picks but Lebowski is really the only pick I love. Warhawk was kind of tough because he picked several sequels where I strongly prefer the originals which were available but ultimately I think I'd have more fun with his list.

Don't forget - some of those originals, etc., I took last year and couldn't repick too many early in the draft. I also find that in the case of the Dark Knight and IM2 that I like the sequels better than the originals, at least for rewatchability.

My goal was to pick my favorite flicks that I enjoy watching over and over. Tried to mix it up with action and comedy (with one or two "epic" flicks thrown in as well), but it was all what I find enjoyable in movies.

Very sad to see the Captain go down so early. About 3/4 of his list is what I'd want on my island, too. Although that probably means he was doomed from the beginning.
