It's a great time to be a Kings fan!
We've got fans returning to KF who have been missing in action for a long time. We've got hope and optimism again. And, to top it off, we've got the #2 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Debate has been heated and passionate, but thankfully (for the most part) civilized. All we mods appreciate that fact. We're very proud of our KF members and their ability to voice their most-heartfelt feelings about the Kings with a sense of decorum.
No matter what, we're gonna get a player we can be excited about. While there are a lot of fans who prefer Doncic, I think a lot of us will also be happy with Bagley.
I don't know about anyone else, but this morning I actually got up with the conscious thought that "It's DRAFT DAY!" I cannot remember the last time that happened. Last year was okay, but this is a lot different. This is the second pick in the draft.
I envy all of you who will be in G1C in a couple of hours. Have a $2 beer for me - but don't drink and drive.
We're gonna have a lot of fun talking about our young Kings. The national media can laugh all they like. They have no idea what it feels like to bleed purple. They cannot imagine the thrill of walking into G1C for the first time. They're clueless about fans from around the world who stay up all hours of the night to listen to a game. They would never imagine generational fans who love this team beyond all rational explanation. We know, though, and we can live without them.
