You've heard about the NATURAL wonders of the world. This site has the "unnatural" wonders of the world. It's listed from A to Z. Just click the link to connect to the wonder you're interested in. Everything from Antique Tupperware to the World's Largest Totem Pole, a Bowling Ball Garden, and much more. www.thom.org/gallery/unnat/

The original Grimms' Fairy Tales were, well, pretty grim. This site from National Geographic has 12 of the tales from an early 1914 translation, so they may be a little more gruesome than you remember. Click on "tell me a story" to get started at the site. www.nationalgeographic.com/grimm/

I love history. Here's another interesting history site wtih virtual tours and tons of information. www.ushistory.org/

Similar in ways to the first site on the list, this is called "a slightly bizarre, cyberspace, science museum for all ages." There's an Aviation Wing, a section on UFOs, a "Mad Scientist Laboratory" and much more. www.unmuseum.org/

I may have mentioned this next one before. It's The Archive of Misheard Lyrics. You can look up songs you know and see how others have botched the lyrics. You can even find out about the significance of a misheard lyric and their place in history via the passing of folks songs down through the generations. http://kissthisguy.com/

Are you a Yankee or are you Dixie? This site has a quiz you can take to find out how you pronounce certain words reflects your heritage. (I got 60% barely Dixie.) www.sonicpling.net/misc/yankee-dixie-quiz.html

This next site is worth really spending some time exploring. There are lots of great things here to learn. It's Mystic Seaport, the Museum of America and the Sea. It's a re-created 19th century coastal village. Visit the website and if you're in the area, plan to check it out in person. And be sure and post some pictures if you do! www.visitmysticseaport.com/

I love this next site, and I think PIKSI will, too! It's called The Skeptic's Dictionary. You can find a critical look at everything from questionable therapies to dangerous delusions, from werewolves to Yetis to unicorns and more. Spend some time and check it out. http://skepdic.com/

This site reminds me of "The Office." Huh Corp has a great website. Examine it for yourself. But keep your tongue firmly in the side of your mouth. www.huhcorp.com/

Every year, we get lots of hummingbirds returning to the forest. I have a couple of hummingbird feeders that I hang outside the front window. The hummingbirds get food and my cats get to watch them through the window. This is a great site for everything you ever wanted to know about these beautiful little creatures. www.hummingbirdsociety.org/indexnew.asp

Like science? Curious about the world around you? This site is devoted to "spreading a little science love to anyone who will listen." If you ever wanted the answer to why you close your eyes when you sneeze or why you never see baby pigeons, this place is for you. www.ratlab.co/uk

Want to feel all-powerful? This site may be the answer. You can spend a lot of time bringing down all kinds of terrible disasters on your favorite websites. Everything from meteor destruction to dinosaur attacks to spilled coffe to picketing protestors. Just go to the site and enter the URL of your "target" site. Enjoy! www.netdisaster.com/

Oh My God!!!

Just for fun I tried "netdisaster.com" and punched in "Lakers.com" for a "pee" attack.......a kid walked across the page and gave Kobe a facial!! I love it!! I'll try cow flop next!!:D

66% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!--

really odd considering I'm a born native Californian and have lived here all my life. I do have mid-west parents though.

Great sites VF!

60% Dixie...Barely into the Dixie category. Hmmmm! I grew up in the midwest and have lived in CA a total of 24 years. I did spend 4 years in Texas when I was in my 20's.
