Vegas and Anaheim on Stern's radar for NBA team

Take it to the bank the Maloofs have been in serious discussions with Anaheim but nobody blames them with the new arena uncertainty in Sac. Can't see Vegas with nation's highest unemployment rate and one of the worst economies. Even the Maloofs couldn't cut it with The Palms in Vegas. Also can't see how the Maloofs make money in Anaheim where they won't have parking, concessions, other events, etc.?? They also will have to pay the city of Sac $70 million from a loan, if they flee.

I agree completely. But sad truth is the league may demand the Kings move or sell the team due to the arena situation in Sac. If that issue is not resolved soon (and it's going to be very soon) the Maloof's hand will finally be forced to act - one way or another.

The Hornets met their attendance clause figure in New Orleans last month and are good for another season. Memphis is a small, struggling NBA market but still out-draw the Kings. Only the New Jersey Nets have lower average game attendance than the Kings and no way the NBA moves a team out of the New York-area media market. Not looking good for the home team.

The title of this thread is totally misleading. They are not on sterns radar. Those cities have shown an interest in getting and NBA team. He did not say he wants a team in those cities.

He also said it was a priority to keep teams in their current cities.

Sacramento might be building an arena too. Call me when Bellevue has one ready to play.
