Just thinking (musing) about Utah today and how they are contenders to a certain extent but, they need a little something else. So how about Artest for Korver and a 1st.

Utah gets
Ron Artest

Sac gets
Kyle Korver
2009 1st rounder

Why for Utah. Like I said they have a great chance at contending right now and with the other teams in the west upgrading they can't stand pat. In fact they need to go above and beyond. Why not take a chance on Ron Artest for this season. Ron can play the 2 and give AK a break at the 3. With AK's injurys the last few seasons they could use Ron.

Why for us. well we get rid of Ron and let Salmons start and have another 3pt shooter off the bench. The 1st rounder will help make salaries match.

Korver's contract cuts into 2010 money. Added to Udrih's deal, that's 11-12 million less we can spend that summer. That alone makes this deal not worth it.

Doesn't address a need for the Kings and Ron in Utah is not a good fit at all.

Maybe if Millsap were somehow included, which is not going to happen.

This trade doenst even work according to salaries. Korver makes 4 million, Artest is going to make almost 8.

Well, actually he's right. Draft picks don't count as salary for trade purposes, so this trade doesn't work.

Hahaha. I omitted it because it's irrelevant to salary. Did you omit the Collective Bargaining Agreement so you could do your little thread here?

This is a good idea. But i dont like shooters who suck at shooting. Korver is great against bench players, but trading our best starter for a bench player and a 1st round pick is lunacy.
