USA Redeem Team pt.2 ?

Whats going on with USA's basketball team? Im hearing of all these other countries in competitive play and crickets about USA's team. Im going to be pretty disappointed if i find out the USA bball organization is being lacksadaisical about International competition again. I want the USA team to go on a 100 year streak. Olympic/Fiba bball is my favorite to watch.

The United States get a buy from the Tournament of the Americas, by virtue of winning the Olympics; they will next compete at the FIBA World Championships.

Has a roster even been selected? Are they just going to ask a everyone to join the team last minute and hope for the best?

Officially? No. But I'm reasonably certain that the top eight guys from the Olympic team (Bryant, James, Wade, Anthony, Howard, Paul, Bosh, Williams) have already committed to competing at the World Championships. And Durant is definitely the front runner to be selected for one of the open spots after this summer.

As of right now id hope to see the roster as follows; Bryant, James, Paul, Anthony, Howard, Wade, Williams, Bosh, Durant, Roy, Rose, Jefferson. Thats assuming its a 12 man roster.

I wouldn't expect to see Jefferson; reports are that Oden was very impressive during Team USA's mini camp, and he has the fast track to be that third big, with Lopez lagging somewhere behind him.

Roy and Gay were also, supposedly, highly touted during the mini camp; I don't recall reading anything about Rose.

When was this mini camp you speak of? I also cant see how theyd possibly put Gay on the team ahead of Granger.
