Update on ex-Monarch Maren Walseth

Maren Walseth, who played briefly for the Monarchs in 2001, was hired to be an assistant at her alma mater, Penn State University. She will be working for the new PSU head coach, Coquese Washington. Previously, she was on the U.S. Naval Academy's women's b-ball team coaching staff since 2004. She also played for the Washington Mystics in 2002 and the Colorado Chill in the now-defunct NWBL.

Maren Walseth was just named the head coach at North Dakota State University. This will be her first job as a head coach.
