UC Davis joining Mountain West

I don't know how UCD will look in non-revenue sports (might even do pretty well as it's a more attractive academic school than most of the MW and can probably do a good job at recruiting the true "student-athletes") but unless they manage to turn the tables in recruiting (and with NIL, how could they?) this is a recipe for being an absolute doormat in basketball.
Edit: Totally forgot that the top five schools in the MW had defected to the PAC, and was still on the mindset that OSU/WSU were going to join the MW instead. Never mind on the doormat thing. When you're looking a conference with Air Force, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Nevada, UNM, SJSU, UNLV, UTEP, and Wyoming...maybe they can put up a good fight. Kind of weird they didn't join in football.
