[TV Alert] Women's College Basketball Remainder of 2008

I'm on the east coast for a while and thus away from my source of weekly television listings. For this week, Stanford is traveling through the Carolinas on their way to a rematch with the Lady Vols. Check out their games against Duke (12/16) and South Carolina (12/19) on ESPN and SportsSouth respectively (Comcast will also have a extremely tape delayed broadcast of the South Carolina game in about a week or so, I'll have to look up that exact date/time). Since I happen to be in the area, I'm gonna check the games out in person. :)

As I think I did in the past, I turn this duty over to one of my favorite women's basketball rhetorical sparring partners and her site where she does the same - with central times noted (so do your appropriate calculations for your local time).

Women's Baskeball Online (tv listings) is the site, It's a great site, visit it often!

Just a reminder, UConn @ South Carolina will be televised on SportsSouth on Sunday, December 28th @ noon PST.

Maya Moore people....seriously....

Since I'm still in the neighborhood, I'm hoping to make the trip to Columbia to see her in person if I can work out a scheduling conflict. :fingers crossed:

:)

Start 2009 off right!.....Annual installment of CBS coverage of women's basketball...

Saturday, January 3rd

In a regional pick (my guess nobody gets the other game outside of the central time zone)

Game 1 (9am PST)
LSU vs UConn - Maya Moore people, seriously.....

or

Minnesota vs Illinois

Game 2 (11am PST)

Tennessee vs Rutgers

My weekly TV listings (from the SacBee's Sunday edition, not "TV Guide" magazine) indicates that CBS-TV is showing a women's college tripleheader. Woo-hoo!

9:00 a.m. PST, Game #1: LSU at UConn, or Minnesota at Illinois.

11:00 a.m. PST, Game #2: Tennessee at Rutgers.

1:00 p.m. PST, Game #3: North Carolina State at Florida.

I plan to watch the first two. But I am not too interested in the third one, if only I don't know much about either of the teams, except for Kay Yow.

[EDIT: Ignore the Game #3. I just realized that the North Carolina State/Florida game is with the men's teams!]
