My family and I are going an a trip and it will be about a total of 22 hours. It also will require me waiting 8 hours at an airport one time. If any of you could please give me some tips for something to waste time on or off the plane it would be fantastic!

Take an electronic game for the airport. You can also play it after take off. They will let you know when you can use electronic devices.

I play electronic poker or black jack. You can also get solitaire.

I've been on those kinds of trips a few times (alone once), and it's not always a bad thing. On the ground, I usually walk around the airport, eat, browse shops, eat (oh, did I say that already?), etc etc. You can also meet fun people at the airport! On the flights, I usually have my laptop to keep me company... until the batt runs out, at least... and I also take a good book with me. If my seatmate isn't the chatty type and there's nothing else to do, I sleep.
