Trade w/Bucks trading down again Yikes!

The Buck looking to move up in draft. http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...To_Move_Up_In_Draft_Targeting_Drummond_Henson. Then a day later this comes out. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/221704/Hammond_Likes_Bucks_Roster_Draft_Trade_Unlikely. However in the last part of the article this was quoted "Once again, it comes back to what is the right thing to do for this organization. If that's the case, we would do it (a trade). But I don't foresee that happening." Does that mean they may still consider a trade if they feel its the right thing to do for the organization?

Kings trade: 5th pick, Salmons

Kings get: 12th pick, Bucks 2013 1st unprotected, Udoh, Udrih

If our (your) "guy" isn't there at #5 would you consider this? This would be like a watered down version of the Houston trade where instead of #16, Lowry and Dalembert its #12, Udrih and Udoh. I would prefer the Houston trade but what's interesting about this trade is that we would get Milwaukee's 2013 unprotected 1st rd. pick. At least if our team sucks next year we'll have a team to root for to suck as well.

Bash away! Well instead of bashing I'd rather you tweak the trade to make it fair for both teams. I could see Milwaukee not wanting to give up their future 1st or at least protect it or only giving up one of Udoh or Udrih(exp) but not both unless we give them one of IT or Jimmer.

Lowry>Beno
Daly>Udoh
#5>#12+next years unprotected

There's nothing Mil has which I'd want in a conversation including the 5th pick.

I would have traded Salmons for Beno earlier this year, but now there's no point as IT has stepped up and Jimmer is still in the shadows, for now at least.

I'd trade Salmons for Beno but no way Bucks would do it. We save some money on the deal at least, hence why Bucks wouldn't do it.

I would say NO to this trade.

Unless the Bucks' 2013 1st rounder will be at least a 5th pick or higher, we lose. They may not make the playoffs, but I'm not sure they would be that bad. Our own 1st rounder in 2013 will most likely be around 12th (give or take 4 spots either way). So the only "gain" by doing this is Getting Beno back. But this year's draft has better top 5 talent available, at this point.

If the Kings trade down, I think they'll take John Henson.

If the Bucks trade up, they want John Henson.

So this will not work. Not when both teams want the same player.

(But of course, it's possible the Kings don't want Henson; but somehow I think they do).
