Trade idea

Kingsin07

G-League
Artest to CHA

Felton, Morrison to SAC

Morrison's contract is up after this year, Felton has this year and then a qualifying offer. Felton avg. 14 and 7 and needs to get out of NC and go to a team where he isn't the hometown favorite who has been a disappointment. Morrison has been a bust and just needs a shot somewhere where he wasn't the 3rd pick.

If Artest couldn't behave for Larry Brown and MJ, not sure who would be able to reign him in. If Ron is traded, lets get him as far away as possible. At the worst it gives them a potential trading piece at the deadline.

I'm thinking we'd definitely have to be in the Felton market now, but not sure this is the right move. I'd have a hard time seeing the Bobcats like to add Artest when they already have Wallace and Richardson on the wings.

I've always thought Brad made a lot of sense for Charlotte. Would they do a Brad for Nazr/Felton deal? Would we have to add sweetner? Douby?

I am trying to figure out how to get my lack of enthusiasm for Raymond Felton to bleed through this keyboard. ;)

Do you think he's better than or comparable to Beno? Especially given that Beno is going to cost at least 3 years and $18 million? Personally, I'd take Felton's two years and $9 million rather than overpaying for Beno.

I don't like this particular trade that was proposed, but the idea of trying to shop around for a young PG isn't a bad one. Just going to be tough to find one since young, talented PG's are valued about as highly as young, talented PF/C's these days.

I wonder if there is any sort of deal we could swing with Memphis. After the blockbuster trade that sent them Mayo, they have a bit of a glut at the guard spots. We could assume they definitely want to keep Conley as their PG of the future to pair with Mayo, but maybe we could make a play for someone like Crittendon or Lowry (although he is more of a scoring tweener). No idea if we have anything they would be very interested in though.

I don't see Felton play enough, so I'm not the best expert. I do, however, read Charlotte blogs/sports news and I know the knocks on him.

However, if we lose Beno, I'd welcome Felton and his short rookie contract with big, open arms. What we get is a better passer but worse shooter. I'd be willing to make the sacrifice...

im all for this.. we bring in felton and morrison... i think charlotte should do this since then they will have a defensive monster line up with gerald wallace okafor and artest... and jrich comes off the bench

I think Memphis would take Shelden Williams for either guy since they're now the third and fourth string point guards on that team. I'd be happy to see the Kings get Conley, but I don't see it happening.

miller for nazr/felton would be nice... if nazr's contract was 1 yr long instead of 3.... no way in hell that we trade for him... and if memphis wanted to trade one of their pg's they would have done so, they didnt for a reason....

I would like to see us make a move for felton. A couple ways of going about it. Build the trade around Brad (who could be productive along side Emeka) and a sweeter or even Salmons for Felton straight up....works on trade checker and I would be fine making that move. Miller, Emeka, Wallace J rich and Augustin would be a decent 5 for charlotte. Not very many teams with multiple young decent pg's so i think felton is one of the better options. He also is still on a short cheap contract which you cant really complain about.

we would so need a 3rd team in any trade for felton... they dont need salmons or artest with jrich and wallace... if they wanted to trade either jrich or wallace we could try including the bulls and trading hughes to the bobcats and wallace/rich to the bulls... though they would still need to trade hinrich....

but the bulls would have one hell of a squad....

jrich or wallace
