Minnesota Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin could be out two to three weeks after suffering a broken thumb last Friday. After Martin suffered the non-displaced fracture in his left thumb in the Timberwolves' 98-91 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, he was examined by a hand specialist and will be rechecked in two to three weeks, USA Today reported. Martin has missed Minnesota's last two games and his absence has been felt in losses to the Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets. The Timberwolves signed Martin as a free agent in July to a four-year, $28 million contract after he spent one season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
