Thunder Interested in Salmons

Two league sources have indicated recently that the Thunder are interested in acquiring John Salmons from the Kings. Oklahoma City has reportedly offered the $4.8 million expiring contract of forward Joe Smith in the deal, but it is unknown if they are willing to include a young player or draft pick.

Heck no. Kings can get much more than that, plus that is a very small expiring, and if they do give us a young guy or a pick it will probably be one of their late first round picks.

Jeez, I would even take just an expiring at this point. Send out all the loose baggage. Just start over. Plus making OKC better makes our draft chances better, if only slightly. Oklahoma City also has two picks at the end of the first round this year. Get them to throw in one of those and I'd call it a deal. That'd still be better than what we got for Bibby.

Getting a first round pick for Salmons would be worth it IMO. I would be all for it.
