So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

It's been pretty clear for a few years now that a) Fox really loves Sacramento but b) he really loves money.

He gripes about CA taxes on social media for instance. He's not going to leave a penny on the table. But I am sure he talked his buddy into staying and so he'll probably re-sign as an UFA and if ish goes sideways it'll go the Dame route.

He’s also really upset with the gas prices.

Not really. $3 national average, $2.76 here in Iowa. Cali is higher obviously but still lower than most developed countries. if he drives an average of 1000 miles a month in a car that gets awful gas mileage he is probably paying a couple hundred in gas a month. And he chose to drive the car with bad mileage. Not anything a many times over millionaire should fret over.

I will not stand for a guy telling us gas prices aren't bad when he's paying $2.76.

I've seen it well under $4 (like $3.75 or so) at numerous locations locally and on a trip to Fresno Thursday-Friday. Heck, I filled up with premium at $4.07 yesterday in the Sacramento area; I think regular was $3.76? For California, it really isn't bad unless you only fill up at Chevron and 76 or whatever.

Edit: Yep, my memory was correct. Sam's Club:

Would be interesting to see if he makes All-NBA this year to get him the contract he wants.

1st team:
  1. Jokic
  2. Tatum
  3. Edwards
  4. Luka
  5. SGA

2nd team:
  • Giannis
  • AD
  • KD
  • Mitchell
  • Brown
3rd team:
  • Lebron
  • Curry (both these guys get grandfathered in)

Fighting for those last 3 spots could be Brunson, LaMelo, Maxey, KAT, Tyrese, BAM, Lillard, Kyrie, JJJ, DeMar, Sabonis, Wemby, and Trae. I might be missing a couple players from this list, but some guys have much better arguments than others. It's still early in the season. Up until the last 2 games, I would've said that DeMar had a better chance than Fox, but maybe he takes this momentum and runs with it. The Knicks are in an adjustment period, but if they look like contenders down the stretch, both Brunson and KAT could be in play. I don't expect LaMelo to keep up his current play(or stay healthy), but at the same time, I don't expect Tyrese to keep slumping.

Gas price? Lmfao get out of here. I’d pay triple the taxes just to live in this great state and this amazing city. I didn’t mean extending him now I meant start courting him publicly like we did with Webber

Like I said, even California prices are lower than most cities in developed nations. I don’t know where you live but the website gasbuddy.com has current gas prices for local gas stations if you want to shop around for best prices. Looks like the wholesale places like Sam’s and Costco are hovering around $3.76 in the Sac area.

yeh it’s interesting because if he really wanted the money more than anything I don’t think he would have recruited Deebo knowing he was a super high usage player. I look at it like this, is he does make all nba we probably had a hell of a season.
