This is our Year!

I firmly believe that this is the year of the Kings! We've got all the pieces in place once again and I think we've had more than our fair share of bad luck. The good luck has got to be headed our way! I just moved out to Lakerland (ugh!) and I'm missing Grant's voice big time and being able to listen whenever I want! Anyway, just wanted to connect with some fellow fans! Can't wait till Nov. 1!

If anyone is interested in joining, I need 1 more team for our fantasy basketball league. Email me if interested

The only thing I agree with is your "ugh" statement about laker land. As for our year, lets just wait and see.

It should be an interesting and exciting year for Kings fans. Will they be title contenders? No, not in my opinion. They should be good though. Hopefully the injury bug stays away this season. Be nice to see our guys gel together with a full preseason under their belt.

I can see where you are coming from and I agree to a point BUT we can't really say that.

Fact is that to win a championship in any sport you need to have a very good team and a great deal of luck. Just this year, Detriot was one defensive rotation away from winning the title IMHO but I also thought had Wade stayed fully fit, Detroit wouldn't have made it.

We don't know whats going to happen this year. We might make the playe offs and have cards fall our way. All things being equal, I see Spurs as having no peer but they are a Tim Duncan inury away from falling off the pace. Injuries can take a team of their path. We should know. We lost our chance when Webb went down with a knee injury.

I would agree that all things being equal there are better teams out there than us and as such we are not really true contenders. However, as I said, you need a lot of luck and many things to fall your way to win a championship. Same rules apply to every play-off team

Some guy at Starbucks today said that the Kings are as good as the Spurs this year.
I respectfully had to disagree. There is quite a difference in the defense between the 2 teams. Optimism is good, but even my friends with me, who are Kings fans, had to disagree with him too.

Indeed. The team playing a pre-season game with rotation experiments. :)
If they're still experimenting with lineups and there's only one preseason game left, the beginning of the season is going to be a bit rocky. I don't feel so secure that I know the team is a lock for the playoffs that they can afford to waste early season games searching for a rotation.

If they stay healthy and gel the whole year, alot can happen...more than alot. This team is very deep, all they need to do is find its identity, which could be a daunting task, but accomplishable, none the less.
