I would actually expect Evans to have a good game against the Mavericks. They dont really have a guard that can defend him well and once he gets to the basket theres still nobody their that can stop him.

They played a good game but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The mavs were missing Howard, Marion and dampier... You would think that Howard could slow him down a bit and dampier would also be there to alter his attempts at the basket. Yes Martin and Garcia are out for the kings but to say that there is no one on the team that can stop Evans is kinda silly.

But injuries are part of the game and he played his *** off... I enjoyed the game, I hope that they beat the rockets...

Granted they were missing Howard, I forgot about him. He seems to be a good matchup against Evans. However, ERIC DAMPIER!?! Please tell me you were joking lol. Theres no way that a guy whos name is used as an insult when making a comparison to him can be referred to as an interior presence. Ive always thought the Mavericks play better when hes not on the floor. Remember when Dallas got desagana diop a few years back and all the sudden they could play defense? Yeah.

Furthermore, once Evans get a consistent jumpshot he will fall into the category of "unguardable" along with Carmelo, Lebron, Wade, Bryant. In 2-3 years Tyreke Evans is a superstar.

Kevin Martin is absolutely not untouchable. I would very much like to see how this team plays with Evans and Martin in the backcourt at the same times until at least the 10-11 season. I have the feeling Garcia can fill the starting 2 guard spot well next to Evans. Garcia at least plays defense and doesnt demand a ton of shots.

When we were down I felt like turning off the TV but seeing them still fighting for every inch made me keep the TV on. This is a good young team with a good coach. Cant wait for the future.

Dampier wouldnt block his shot but he would take a charge since evans isnt known for throwing down monster dunks. he'll take a charge on a layup and evans will have to alter his shot and it more than likely wont go in. but yeah, howard and marion wouldve made a huge difference in the game....

Safe to say this team has bottomed and is on the upward swing. FINALLY. Sure is nice to watch a bunch of promising young talent battle every night. These guys actually play something that we haven't seen for years: DEFENSE. Even defensive charges have been taken this year (A supernova must be passing the planet). Mistakes are made out of errors of commission, not omission. It's obvious these guys like to play the game and love to win and to compete. Enjoy the process. All of these young guys will improve and grow together as a team. It's going to be a fun, fun ride...
