Getting excited here as the season goes on. Padres are still in first after their 22 win month and Arizona is falling. Hoping for a Padres/Angels World Series. Anyone been to new stadium, it is absolutely beautiful and adds to the excitement of the ballgame. Its got an old school feel to it, that reminds you of what baseball used to be like.

PETCO is a nice park, but it seems a little too sanitized for me, although the building in left field is cool. It's better than Qualcomm though.

But SBC > PETCO

got the 20 game season ticket package baby! I'd rather san diego have an NBA team though.
I wish they could get the clippers back! Padres have five home games against the dodgers this month. Can't wait to see those games at PETCO. Everyone be sure to wear your bulletproof vests!

Me too, but where would they play? Sports Arena? Yeah right! If Sacramento is complaining about Arco, there's no Freakin way SD is getting an NBA team.

So are the Padres (3-7 last 10) :) At least you arent a Dodgers fan... you guys are a little better than them. :)
Why stop at last the last ten, why not go back a little more. Hmmmm........lets see, in the last 35 games, I think they are around 25-9. Yeah they suck. And to win 22 games last month must really mean they suck. I forgot, teams that suck have better road records than the Giants home record. Oh well, I will continure to watch the sucky Padres roll over the National Leauge West.

Dodgers fans are worse than Lakers fans.

I love San Diego fans, they're so cute.

(please note with a brand new stadium and a 1st place club they still can't sell out that stadium, and draw 4000 less people than those same sucky Giants, so, it looks like you will be the only one watching it)

no... Laker fans are far worse. They are myopic and kobe a** kissers. Most true Dodger fans are realistic. Half the people who go to Chavez Ravine aren't real Dodger fans, just some people looking to spend their welfare check somewhere.

How many dodger games have you been to? Dodger fans are ruthless barbarians who will talk **** to anyone and everyone. I've seen little kids harrassed by full grown men because they had on the opposing jersey.

Just to let you know that happens everywhere. Christmas day 2 years ago we were playing Dallas at Arco, the game Peja was suspended for touching an official and I saw dallas fans being harassed like ive never seen while walking out. They were 3 of them with Dallas Jerseys on and they looks like they could have been Divacs brothers (identical faces) and people were making fun of them, throwing things at them, etc. This stuff also happens at Giants games.

One more thing... have you ever been to a Raiders playoff game or possible regular season game? Enough said. :)

Thanks for letting me know that it happens everywhere, but.........it doesn't. I've been to many Giants games and what happens there is the usual heckling and the occasional fight. At Dodger games, it is just lots of drunks fighting, even with their own fans. Their harassment/fighting far supercedes any events I've been to. And I have been to a Raider game, they're insane, and most Dodger fans are coincidentally Raiders fans.

Well I havent been to a Dodgers game AT LA so I guess I cant speak about that. I can only speak from experiences at Kings, Giants and Raiders games. I guess I shouldnt have expected LA fans to be any better than a drunk and harassing bunch. :)

(No offense to any Dodger fans here... but its always BEAT LA! whether Im at a Kings game or Giants game)

What losing streak?

I would rather not make the playoffs than make them and not go anywhere. It also looks like you guys are really taking control of the NL West.

ummmm....................the last 9 of 10 home games they lost. Hope you didn't buy tickets for all of those games.;)

And I would rather make the playoffs than not. Sort of like the Kings.

Padres with a 4.5 game lead over Arizona, who play the Giants today and tomorrow. This may be the only time in my life where I'm rooting for the Giants, well, except for when the Giants play the Dodgers.
