Yes, Kedra is back. Well, not back with the Monarchs, but at least she has returned to the WNBA (with the Detroit Shock) after a one-year hiatus. After the Shock beat the L.A. Sparks to win the 2003 WNBA Championship, the Shock traded Kedra to the Houston Comets. But with only a month left to go in the '04 season, Kedra asked to be released from the Comets, and they did. I guess she was just burned out at the time.

I'm thinking that Detroit might need Kedra if Katie Smith can't play up to the level that she has been accustomed to in the past. I still think Katie Smith hasn't been the same since her ACL injury in the 2004 Olympics.
