The lost man in all this...

Poor Matt Barnes...

Sactown's finest, Del Oro graduate, playing in front of his home town and FINALLY getting minutes and a contributing role in a city he loves, and to be shipped off without a second thought... to Philly, of all places.

I feel for him, and wish him the best of luck. With all the worrying about Webb, we shouldn't forget about Matt. Good luck buddy!

Why'd we give up Barnes instead of Daniels?

Probably because Billy King wanted him more than Daniels, and I'm sure that Petrie wouldn't have been willing to endanger the deal for the sake of keeping the hometown kid in black and purple. And the shame of it is, if King did in fact demand his inclusion in the deal, it was probably because Barnes had earned himself more playing more minutes in y'alls rotation lately.

Uh.... given the trade that went down, I'd think the Kings would have had a bit more leverage on the secondary players.

Similar scenario: I run into Bill Gates at the quicky mart and he says

"I'm going to give you a million dollars for that chewed gum on your shoe"

My logical response is <of course> " F-you, selfish bastard, give me your damn pants as well"

I know that this is not a trade that Matt wanted, but I wish him good luck and hopefully he can rejoin the Kings in the future.

I feel very bad for Matt when I found out he got package in the trade. :(

Good luck in Philly, Matt. Thanks for all your hard effort!
