Here is Detroit's answer to Chicago's Mrs. O'Leary's Cow. The stupidist fan in all of professional sports.

Are you saying that this is the guy who caused it?? Because on TV they showed that clean-cut looking young man with glasses in the stands who Artest whupped first after being showered with beer, ice, whatever it was. It appeared that that man was the perpetrator, especially from how he was jawing with Artest.
 
Don't think so, because the guy he grabbed still had a cup in his hand. He was just laughing like an idiot, which led Ron to believe that he had done it. But the guy with the hat is a jerk nonetheless, seeing that he had the "courage" to start pummeling Ron in the head from behind. Same with that fat guy in the sweatshirt who was, for no reason whatsoever, smashing Fred Jones' head while Fred was merely trying to grab Ron away. He wasn't punching at all. These two are the ones that absolutely need to brought to justice. Those two and the idiot who ran onto the court to proceed to get beaten down deservedly 3 times over.
 
You know, they keep talking about a fan who threw beer on Artest when he was on the table. Maybe I'm getting old but it sure as hell looked like ice cubes that hit him.

It's a shame, I was secretly hoping it was the same fan that killed the cubs last year. Would be nice to put all the negative feelings on one guy.
 
Ah so he is not just a scumbag but a cowardly scum bag who let another guy take the heat from Ron then sucker punced Artest from behind. Warning Kids this is NOT a role model.
 
I will say two things:
1) Artest is an idiot regardless of the fans behavior.
2) The root of fans violence might lie somewhere else. For example, at my university, it is almost impossible to go out and not see a fight break out. People are morons and a couple of punches hurt a lot less when you're drunk.

That clickondetriot link never works for me. Neither on Firefox or IE. I mean, the link works, but the vid never loads. Does it require you to allow cookies?
 
It works just fine for me, and I'm using Firefox (recent convert). Maybe you do have to allow cookies or something. I don't know.

Bear in mind that when I discuss Detroit degenerates, I'm pretty much generalizing about the 19-35 year-old drunken male slobs who displayed the unbelievable restraint and social mores we witnessed last Friday. Drunken male slobs such as these are also rampant at Boston and Philadelphia sports arenas. I absolutely loathe this category of fans. My only wish is that the fans in the center of the storm who were throwing beers and making their way on-court would've received absolute ***-whippings.
