The good old days...

I can't believe Petrie is the architect of this team. Through the years we've seen more bad than good moves from Petrie.

Or, maybe this product of Petrie is more of an anomaly?

A once in a lifetime luck?

And the answer to all the Kings recent woes is sitting on the far left. Damn that curse!

Oh, and whoever can tell me who is missing from that picture without looking it up (and I never would have got it had I not) gets 1000 internet cool points from me.

I looked it up so I'm not going to say. I wouldn't have guessed either. I found this little tidbit on his bio interesting though-- Relatives: Cousin of Kwame Brown. That explains a lot! :)

6'11ish PF/C guy? Soft with some skills. What was his name...

P.S. Yes, Brent and Fundy were the team's God squad at the time, hence the no middle fingers.

That's what I thought. Couldn't remember if he came 01, 02 or 03... Wasn't he still on our team back in 04 too during the Minny series?
He wasn't still on the team. He left after the first year (to either the Sixers or Nets I can't remember) and then I believe he went to Europe. But he was back with the Kings afterward. I don't remember if it was 10 day contracts or if we signed him for a full year.

For Mateen Cleaves? Really? I wasn't paying that much attention to roster moves back then. I always did wonder where he went.
Yeah, JB for Mateen the towel waver. And if that weren't bad enough I do believe we sent a protected first round pick as well.

It was a salary cap move, plain and simple. And in hindsight it should have been a warning sign because IIRC it was the FIRST time in the Maloof era that blatant cost cutting measures weakened the team. Obviously it started a trend.

Jabari!

He put my all-time Sacramento Kings team over the top. Filled that last need i had... somebody who can hit clutch free throws cold.

Yeah, and if you look closely he's holding up his first fingers instead of his middle ones. Sheesh.
Yeah, he and Funderburke didn't really want to play along apparently. :)
