Keegan the best "tap outter" for sure though! I swear he's getting us a couple extra possessions a game with those! Totally agree about his improvement on the glass in general too!
 
Keegan’s sudden emergence as a capable rebounder about halfway into his rookie season was pretty cool to see happen. A bunch of us were complaining, he was getting outrebounded by guards of his class, I think he got gently called out by coaches and BOOM. The switch went off and he just became a good rebounder basically overnight.

He was a great rebounder in college (about 15.5 per 100 possessions, compared to 10.3 per 100 possessions this year) so I imagine that he was trying to learn how to be a wing instead of a F/C and just thought he wasn't supposed to crash the boards as hard in favor of getting up the court. Once the switch flipped his rebounding ability was obvious.

I’m not 100 percent sure but from what I can tell the tap is considered a rebound, not a pass, so no assist awarded.

Once a player taps a ball to a teammate it doesn’t become a rebound until that teammate takes possession of the ball. So it makes sense that no assist is given.

So what you're saying is we need a new stat for "Rebound Assists" which I guess goes to whichever teammate ultimately corrals the tapped ball?

Murray had some tremendous, game-saving offensive rebounds tonight in the 2OT game versus Miami--five altogether, plus seven defensive rebounds. I have been very impressed with his tenacity on the boards since returning from his ankle injury. Two or three times, he just snatched the ball away from an unsuspecting Heat player.
 
It will be interesting to see how Keegan responds to life without Fox. He was essentially a big brother to him. How does he feel about the kings, does he blame them for this or is he hurt by Fox wanting to leave? Last night was a good game for him. He was super aggressive and even took tough threes which he almost never does. He plays the right way so much that sometimes he forgets he’s 6’8, strong and athletic.

Keegan seems like a pretty even-keeled guy. Doesn't seem to get too high or too low. I imagine he's grateful for the time spent with Fox's mentorship, but will be just fine without him. It's also good for Keegan to get some up-close experience with the cutthroat business side of the NBA.
 
Really hope Keagan has similar progression offensively to Mihal Bridges.First couple seasons he was primarily a spot up 3 point shooter, but starting year 3 shot volume increased across the board , and starting year 4 he was taking 15+ plus shots a game with an excellent mix of a inside and outside game.
Also they both seem to have that level headiness ( English not my first language, probably making words up lol)about them

Keegan is 4 years away from being where we were with Fox so I am not sure it matters. I am not sure but I think he might be happier with Brown gone. His dad doesn't post as much on twitter as he did before but I do recall him replying to some of the fans that have turned on Keegan by pointing out that he was doing what the coach was asking and it was a lot of stuff that doesn't appear in the box score.
